Home Delivered Meals

The Home Delivered Meals program ensures that eligible seniors receive a nutritious and delicious meal with minimal effort and expense. Home delivered meals are available to homebound seniors and require an in-home assessment by one of our agency case managers to qualify. In addition, a physician’s authorization with a prescribed diet are necessary. Home Delivered Meal participants can receive meals up to five days per week and can choose from two different plans. The one-meal-per-day plan provides one hot meal which meets the one-third of the Recommended Daily Allowance requirements. The two-meals per-day plan provides a cold meal in addition to the hot meal. Both plans are available in low-salt or diabetic diets to meet individual needs. The meals are delivered to the senior citizen’s house on scheduled weekdays before 12:30 pm. Contributions for the meals are determined on a sliding scale based on participant income.
